Rare in Progress

Assessment every other year of how well countries are implementing the recommendations of the APEC Action Plan on Rare Diseases, based on self-evaluation, external expert opinion, and validation of public information. 

Composite index based on data from WHO to help assess and potentially predict the "readiness" of countries to enable new, improved, or continued design, adoption, and implementation of rare disease policies, plans, and/or programs.  

Assessment every year of whether countries have or are developing a national rare disease plan, and of the quality and impact of the plan, based on self-evaluation, external expert opinion, and peer review.
